An original French walnut commode. Four long drawers, each with an antique key for easy opening. The drawers all run smoothly, with no faults or weaknesses and are free of any woodworm. The sides are good and strong with no splits. The quality burr veneers to the drawer fronts have been carefully matched to create the exquisite butterfly design now mellowed to the most gorgeous colour. Raised on pretty turned wood feet to the front with the traditional square feet to the back. The original grey marble top is pristine with wonderful cloud like veining. A superb, period commode with elegance. France circa 1860.

A decorative carved wooden umbrella stand. Slightly curved in design, with six turned wood columns to the front and three separating bars to the top. Complete with original tole drip tray. The French cane back panel is also original, with no damage. The entire painted surface has remained in superb condition, from the mid 19th century. A delightful, decorative object, with or without umbrellas!

An English Georgian mahogany bow fronted chest of drawers. Made circa 1810, this quality chest is well constructed, comprising of four elegant bow fronted, oak lined drawers, raised on four gently splayed feet, with a swept apron between. The top also, has beautiful swirling grain and that perfect faded “toffee” colour and deep patina which has mellowed and accumulated over the past two centuries.

The brass trim is repeated at the top of the four chamfered legs, which are also tipped with neat brass cups. The table frame itself, has exquisite walnut veneers, with fabulous colour and patina. An early 19th century French cherrywood buffet. Two long drawers, with good cupboard space below. There is a decorative scalloped base trim together with the original scrolled snail feet. The impressive steel hinges are complimented by the steel escutcheons and handles, with working lock and key. The most beautiful solid cherrywood, which has developed wonderful patina and colour over the past centuries. Superb sound condition.

There is one single drawer above, with three deep drawers on either side, each with an original solid brass period handle. All drawers run smoothly and fit well. The creamy white surface paint has wear, but is clean and sound. Circa 1840, an English base of good solid construction and superb condition.

An elegant pair of 19th century French alcove console tables. These superb quality carved wood tables, have been designed to stand against a wall with a cross bar at the back, so being supported by the two elegant cabriole legs to the front. The finely carved design to the legs and front apron of these pretty consoles is restrained with good detail. The creamy white painted surface, is the original, with very little wear. The serpentine marble tops are also the originals, with decorative pink and cream veining throughout.

There is a small decorative carved motif to the front apron, all raised on four elegant cabriole legs. It could sit comfortably against the wall, or would work perfectly well as a “behind the sofa” lamp table. Superb, sound condition. The colour has mellowed to the most beautiful deep shade of cherry, with years of polishing, creating wonderful patina.
